Biography
Alexander McNab was born in Glasgow on 27 December, 1911. He died in September, 1962.
Sandy McNab made his name as a player for Sunderland in the 1930s, having joined the club from Pollok Juniors in 1932. A small redhead, he made about a hundred appearances as an attacking left half for the Wearsiders, helping them to win the FA Cup in 1937. He left to join West Bromwich Albion in March 1938 but war intervened and he went to various clubs on loan including Newport County, Nottingham Forest,
