Jamies Howieson was born in Rutherglen (Lanarkshire) on 7 June, 1900. He died in 1974.
A man of many clubs, Howieson was a useful inside left who could dribble and shoot. He rarely stayed long at any of his clubs, but could make an impact: at St Mirren he won the Scottish Cup in 1926, and at Hull City he helped the club reach the FA Cup semi-final (playing at left back).
