Biography
James Dougall was born in Denny (Stirlingshire) on 3 October, 1913. He died on 17 October, 1999. A fast and versatile forward, his older brother William was also a footballer of renown with Falkirk. James signed for Falkirk in 1932 from Kilsyth Rangers, then moved south to Preston North End in January 1934. He remained at Deepdale until 1946, guesting for various clubs during the war (including Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool and Southport). In November 1946 he joined Carlisle.
