Robert Bruce

Robert Bruce was born in Paisley on 29 January, 1906.
An inside left with the Glasgow junior team St Anthony's, Bruce joined Aberdeen in 1924 and had subsequent moves to Middlesbrough in Feb 1928, to Sheffield Wednesday in October 1935 and to the then non-league Ipswich Town in July 1936 before finishing his career at Mossley in 1938. He won a Second Division championship medal with Middlesbrough, and his continuing good form in the higher league earned him his only cap in the friendly.
