Biography
William Barbour Agnew was born in Kilmarnock on 16 December, 1879. He died on 19 August, 1936.
He joined Kilmarnock from local football around 1899 then moved around at two yearly intervals: Newcastle United in May 1902, Middlesbrough in summer 1904, Kilmarnock again in summer 1906, Sunderland in May 1908 and finally Falkirk from September 1910 to 1912. He helped with coaching at Third Lanark. A fair haired defender with a strong tackle, he also won two Scottish Football League caps.
