Jim Craig

James Philip Craig was born in Glasgow on 7 May, 1943. Craig was right back in the greatest ever Celtic team, that which won the European Cup and swept the board in Scotland in the late 1960s. He took an unusual route into senior football, completing his degree course in dentistry at Glasgow University before turning professional with Celtic early in 1965. He continued to practise as a dentist throughout his footballing career, but that did not hold him back from winning numerous honours.
