James Nisbet was born in Glenbuck (Ayrshire) on 27 August, 1904. He died on 18 November, 1964.
Jimmy Nisbet was an outside right with Ayr United, starting his career with them as the club was relegated in 1924 and helping to guide them back to the top division with a Second Division Championship in 1927-28. He made 78 appearances in three seasons in the first division and did enough to earn a call-up for Scotlands first ever overseas tour. He played in all three matches, chipping in w
