George W Wilson was born in Lochgelly (Fife) in 1884. He died on 2 June, 1960.
A man of many clubs, Wilson played down the left as a forward and made up for his lack of stature with great speed and superb ball control. His first senior club was Cowdenbeath in 1902, but a year later he went to Heart of Midlothian, winning the Scottish Cup in 1906.
