Robert Leckie was born in the late 1840s. He died in February, 1887.
One of the pioneers of Scottish football, Leckie was one of the founders of Queen’s Park FC in 1867, and played for the club as a forward until his retirement in 1875. He won the Scottish Cup in 1874, the first year the trophy was contested. His death took place in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
