Biography
Thomas Ring was born in Glasgow on 8 August, 1930. He died on 5 October, 1997.
A lively winger who was a mainstay of the successful Clyde side of the 1950s, Tommy Ring signed for Clyde from junior side Ashfield in 1948 and remained until an £8,000 transfer to Everton in January 1960. In that time he won the Scottish Cup twice, in 1955 and 1958, and also featured in the Division 2 championship sides of 1952 and 1957.
