Biography
Kenneth Burns was born in Glasgow on 23 September, 1953. A tough and uncompromising central defender, Burns could also play with creativity and pass the ball with accuracy. Having been freed by Rangers in his teens, he joined Birmingham City in July 1971, and developed a positive reputation. He moved to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 1977, then newly promoted from Division 2, and was a key figure in Forest's extraordinary rise to European Champions.
