Biography
Robert Primrose Wilson was born in Chesterfield on 30 October, 1941.
A highly successful goalkeeper with Arsenal where he won the famous double of FA Cup and Football League in 1971, he qualified for Scotland through his parents. Earlier he had represented England in schoolboy internationals. His professional career lasted just ten years from 1964 to 1974 but by then he was starting to make a name for himself as a presenter and commentator with BBC.
