Biography
Arthur Richard Albiston was born in Edinburgh on 14 July 1957.
A Scottish schools internationalist Arthur joined Manchester United straight from school and worked his way up to the first team as a solid and dependable left back. His time at Old Trafford saw him win three FA Cup winners’ medals in 1977, 1983 and 1985 but he never really established himself as a Scotland regular. His final appearance was in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico against Uruguay. He stayed with Man United until 1988.
