Peter Canero

Peter Canero was born in Glasgow on 18 January, 1981. The talented defensive midfielder first came to prominence at Kilmarnock, earning Under 21 international honours and it was no surprise when he was snapped up by Leicester City in January 2004 for a substantial fee. He made his Scotland debut in Denmark, but was then struck down by injury which limited his opportunities at Leicester. After a brief spell at Dundee United in the autumn of 2005, he moved to the USA with New York Red Bulls.
