Biography
Chris burst onto the scene in his senior debut for Aberdeen, scoring five minutes into the December 2006 match against Kilmarnock. He worked hard to establish himself as a first team regular, and shone during a loan spell with Kilmarnock in 2010, scoring four crucial goals to help save the Ayrshire side from relegation. He signed for Derby County in July 2011.
Chris featured for Scotland at under-16s and under-19s before playing a key role in the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2011 qualifying campaign, scoring four goals in eight qualifiers.
His wonder goal from the halfway line in the play-off against Iceland wasn’t enough to take Scotland to the finals, but will long be remembered by the Tartan Army. Chris made his senior debut in the 3-0 Carling Nations Cup win over Northern Ireland in February 2011.
