Paul Hanlon
Biography
Paul has been a regular in defence for Billy Stark's under-21 side during the 2009/2011 European qualification campaign, and was named captain for the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship campaign.
The Edinburgh-born defender made his Scotland youth international debut in a friendly against Iceland at under-19 level in September 2007.
He made his under-21 debut in a UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier win over Albania in March 2009.
Hanlon played for the well-known Edinburgh youth football club Hutchison Vale as an attacking midfielder and scored plenty of goals in youth football, but he was converted to a defender after he signed for Hibs. He played his first senior game for Hibs on 12 January 2008, against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
Paul has gone on to become a mainstay in the Hibernian first team and has captained the Scottish Premier League side on occasion.
