Biography
Christophe rose through the Heart of Midlothian youth system to become a stalwart for the Edinburgh side. In season 2007/08 the then 22-year-old central defender became the youngest captain in the Scottish Premier League.
He moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2009 and made more than 150 appearances for the Midlands club, before signing for Ipswich Town in 2013. Christophe then resigned for Hearts in 2017.
Christophe was capped at under-21 and B squad level before making his international debut as a substitute in a 2008 friendly against Czech Republic.
He got his first start in a World Cup qualifier against Holland at the Amsterdam ArenA in March 2009, and scored his first goal in a 3-1 Carling Nations Cup victory over Wales in May 2011.
