Charlie Fleming

Charles Fleming was born in Blairhall, Fife, on 12 July, 1927. He died on 15 August, 1997. Charlie 'Legs' Fleming was one of the most respected sharpshooters in British football, feared for his ferocious shot. Also known as 'Cannonball Charlie'. Joined East Fife from Blairhall Colliery, and was the mainstay of the team that made a huge impact on Scottish football. Regularly finishing in the top four of Division 1, East Fife also won the Scottish League Cup in 1947.
