Biography
A reliable midfield anchor, Crichton returned to Glasgow City for a third spell at the SWPL champions in 2017 following a two-year stint at Notts County. Crichton made her senior debut with Whitehill Welfare, with the midfielder part of the Scotland Women’s Under- 19s side that qualified for the 2005 UEFA Women’s Under-19s European Championships in Hungary.
Leanne was recalled to the international setup by Anna Signeul in 2013 for a double-header against the USA, following a four-year hiatus. Since then, Crichton has been a near-constant selection in SWNT squads, including for the squad’s first major tournament appearance at UEFA EURO 2017. Crichton was also in the 2019 Women's World Cup squad and played a key role in the last group match against Argentina.
As well as owning her own personal training business, Crichton is also a freelance television pundit.
