Biography
Ross started his career at Rangers, making his senior debut in 2004 aged 17. The following year he scored a memorable UEFA Champions League goal, grabbing the equaliser in a 1-1 away draw against Porto.
After a spell on loan at Hartlepool, the striker signed for Motherwell in 2006, followed by moves to Cardiff City and Leeds United.
Ross made 11 appearances and scored three goals for Scotland under-21s between 2005 and 2008.
He made his senior debut against the Czech Republic in May 2008, and scored his first goal in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Iceland in April 2009.
