Biography
A former Kilmarnock youth player, Steven broke into the first team in season 2003/04. He won the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year Award in 2006, and picked up the same award from his fellow players the following year.
The forward signed for Rangers in 2007, winning three league titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup, before leaving for Everton in 2012.
Steven won his first cap for Scotland in a 2-0 win over Faroe Islands in June 2007, and went on to captain the under-21s for the remainder of the season.
His first senior goal came in October 2010 in a Euro 2012 qualifier against World Champions Spain at Hampden.
