Biography
Stuart came through the youth academy at Partick Thistle. He made his senior debut in 2010 and then joined Ayr United for a loan spell, where he became a key part of the Ayr side which won promotion that season.
By the 2012-13 season, Stuart had cemented his place in the Thistle side and won the club's Young Player of the Year award. He also featured in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the First Division that season and signed a new two-year contract with the Jags. Stuart’s performances that season led to his first appearance for Scotland Under-21s, in a friendly against Greece.
Stuart has gone on to become a crucial part of the Partick midfield, and made his 150th appearance for the club in October 2015. At the start of the 2017-18 season, he made his comeback from an 18 month injury setback.
