Biography
Ryan burst into the Aberdeen first-team at the age of 16. He quickly made an impression on the league with his electric pace and won back-to-back SPL Young Player of the Month Awards in September/October 2012.
After just 22 appearances for the Dons, Ryan moved south to Bournemouth – then in the English Football League One. He helped them gain promotion to the Championship and was part of the squad that then won automatic promotion to the Premier League in 2014-15 season. During this time Ryan was a key part of the Scotland Under-21 squad.
Ryan spent the next season on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town. He then returned to Bournemouth and made his Premier League debut against West Ham in August 2016. His senior Scotland debut came in the 2-2 World Cup qualifier against England in June 2017.
