Biography
Robert was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2006 UEFA Under-19 Championships in Poland and also impressed at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Canada the following year.
He came through the youth system at Livingston and scored his first senior goal, aged 17, after just three games.
The striker/winger joined Leeds United in 2008, and played a key role as the side were promoted to the Championship in 2010, becoming a fans’ favourite thanks to his knack of scoring crucial goals.
Robert made his senior Scotland debut in a 3-0 Carling Nations Cup win over Northern Ireland in February 2011.
He scored his first goal in a 2-1 friendly win over Denmark at Hampden in August 2011, and grabbed his first competitive strike in June 2013, firing Scotland to a 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying win over Croatia in Zagreb.
