James Forrest
Position: Forward
Biography
James came through the Celtic youth system and made his first team debut on 1 May 2010 against Motherwell, scoring in a 4-0 victory. He was named the Scottish Premier League Young Player of the Month for August. His fine form for Celtic and the Scotland under-19s saw James called into the under-21 squad. On 7 September 2010, he came off the bench in a UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifier against Austria, providing the assist as Chris Maguire scored an 89th minute goal to take Scotland to the play-offs. In May 2011, Craig Levein called him into his squad for the inaugural Carling Nations Cup. He made his senior debut on 29 May against the Republic of Ireland, in the final match of the tournament.
