Leslie Johnston

Leslie Hamilton Johnston was born in Glasgow on 16 August 1920. Died 19 October 2001. An opportunist forward who made several high value transfers at the peak of his career including two Scottish record fees. He began his career at Clydebank Juniors before moving to Clyde in December 1941. Hibernian acquired his services in February 1947 for £10000 (a record) but he moved back to Shawfield in October the same year for the same fee.
