Archie Macaulay

Archibald Renwick Macaulay was born in Falkirk on 30 July 1915. Died in June 1993. A precocious talent at inside right he started playing for Camelon Juniors a nursery side for Rangers turned professional in 1933 appearing in the Rangers first team at the age of 18. He was well established and won a Scottish League championship medal before he reached 20. Moved to West Ham United in June 1937 but his career was interrupted by the war.
