Biography
Thomas Cochrane Highet was born in Ayr in 1853. He died on 28 January, 1907.
Educated at Ayr Academy, an excellent breeding ground for sportsmen, Highet joined Queens Park in 1873 when he moved to Glasgow. He was a prominent player, with a dashing attacking style, and won a Scottish Cup medal in 1876. He was also a cricketer, playing for Clydesdale, Ayr Eglinton and Granville.
