Bob Dougan

Robert Dougan was born in Glasgow on 3 December 1926. A very popular centre half who came to the fore with Heart of Midlothian, whom he joined from Shawfield Juniors in 1947 after winning a Junior Cup winner's medal. His intelligent distribution won him many admirers and he was unlucky only to win one cap. In 1954 he moved to Kilmarnock, and spent six years at Rugby Park. Later in life, he worked for the Scottish FA as mailroom manager.
