Michael Dunbar

Michael Dunbar was born in Cathcart (Glasgow) on 30 October, 1863. He died on 6 September, 1921. A talented goalscorer, playing at inside right, Dunbar played for Cartvale (where he won his single cap in 1886), moved to Cowlairs in October 1886, Hibernian in September 1887 and joined the newly formed Celtic in May 1888. He retired through injury in 1893 but retained a close link to the club as a committee member and director until his death.
