Biography
Albert Thoroughgood Buick was born in Arbroath on 17 January, 1875. He died on 25 March, 1948.
Buick started his career at local club Arbroath, and took an unusual path to the big time as he answered a newspaper advert for players to join Heart of Midlothian. Playing at centre half, he was a fine player for the team, winning the Scottish Cup in 1901. He moved south to Portsmouth in 1903, and carried on at the south coast club until his retirement in 1911.
