Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson was born in Irvine on 10 December, 1880. He died on 13 March, 1945.
A speedy centre forward who was instrumental in Sheffield Wednesday’s successes in the early 20th century. After learing his trade with Irvine Meadow, he spent the 1899/1900 season with Clyde before joining Wednesday, where he stayed for 20 years until his retiral. With the club, he won the Football League in 1903 and 1904, and the FA Cup in 1907, making over 500 league appearances with a tally of 199 go
