Biography
Cornelius (Neil) J McCallum was born in Bonhill (Dunbartonshire) on 3 July, 1868. He died on 5 November,1920.
Growing up in the hotbed of soccer that was Bonhill, McCallum quickly established himself in the Renton forward line, developing a right wing partnership with Harry Campbell. The team won the Scottish Cup in 1888, and shortly afterwards he was recruited to a new team in Glasgow called Celtic and played in their inaugural match. He was in the Celtic team that reached the Scottish Cup
