Biography
Alexander Wilson was born in Buckie on 29 October, 1933.
A consistent full back, able to play on the left or right side, he joined Portsmouth on leaving school in 1949, turning professional the following year, and spent an amazing 18 years at Fratton Park. Although the glory days were over for Portsmouth, he enjoyed some success including a Division 3 championship in 1962. In 1967 he moved to Chelmsford City for a short spell before retiring. His one Scotland cap came after just 25 league
