Biography
Robert Frame Main was born in Airdrie on 10 February, 1909. He died on 30 March, 1985.
Main spent ten years at Rangers, having joined them in 1929 from Baillieston Juniors, and although he was initially an understudy to Sandy Archibald he was a fixture on the right wing from about 1933 onwards. He won the Scottish League championship in 1933/34, 1934/35 and 1936/37, as well as the Scottish Cup in 1934 and 1935. In the autumn of 1938 he faded out of the picture at Ibrox and joined New Bright
