Biography
William Dickson was born in Larkhall (Lanarkshire) on 8 April 1945. Having signed for Kilmarnock as an amateur in 1962, he won two international caps before turning professional in 1964. Although just too late for the league winning team, he was an important defender in the side's campaigns of the late sixties and early seventies, and spent a full decade at Rugby Park. He ended his career with a season at Motherwell from 1974-75.
