Biography
Ronald Michael Glavin was born in Glasgow on 27 March, 1951. An attacking midfielder, Glavin had the knack of scoring spectacular goals with his powerful right foot. He joined Partick Thistle in 1968 and came to prominence as the newly promoted team won the Scottish League Cup in 1971 with a 4-1 win over Celtic. He moved across the city to Celtic in November 1974, and won further honours including a League Championship in 1976/77 and a Scottish Cup medal in 1975, thus completing the domestic
