Biography
Craig started his career at Ayr United, moving to Dundee United in 2006. The winger established himself in the side despite struggling with injuries, including a broken foot, throughout 2007. He scored twice, in a man-of-the-match performance, as Dundee United defeated Ross County 3-0 to lift the Scottish Cup in 2010. George Burley handed him his first Scotland cap in a 2-0 friendly defeat in Japan in 2009. He was re-called to the squad by Craig Levein two years later, making substitute appearances in a 3-0 win over Notherern Ireland at the Carling Nations Cup in February 2011, and in a 2-1 friendly win over Cyprus in November. He signed for then-Championship side Cardiff City in June 2011, helping them to win promotion to the Premier League at the end of season 2012/13. He was re-called to the Scotland squad once more by Gordon Strachan in June 2013, and saw his first competitive action, coming on as a substitute in a 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying win over against Croatia in Zagreb.
