Joe Craig

Joseph Craig was born in Bridge of Allan (Stirlingshire) on 14 May, 1954. Famous for scoring for Scotland on his debut before he had kicked a ball (he headed a goal two minutes after coming on as a late substitute), Craig was an enterprising forward who gave good service to a number of clubs. He joined Partick Thistle from Sauchie Juniors in 1972, and won Under 23 honours as well as a First Division championship in 1975/76. Celtic bought his services for £60,000 in September 1976.
