Tommy Craig

Thomas Brooks Craig was born in Penilee, Glasgow, on 21 November, 1950. Tommy Craig came to the fore in schools football, earning international honours and a move to Aberdeen in 1966. At the age of 18 he joined Sheffield Wednesday for a £100,000 fee, a record for a Scottish player, never mind a teenager. He had five years at Hillsborough then went to Newcastle United in 1974, Aston Villa in 1978 and Swansea City a year later. In March 1982 he moved to Carlisle and began the move into coaching.
