Partnerships: Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise & Ayr United Football Academy
This is a great model in how two clubs operating with different resources can use the Power of Football to improve Community wellbeing. Ayr United Football Academy support the delivery of community activity in the area of Cumnock by helping with staff, project experience, finance and funding and mentoring and education. This model creates jobs, improves opportunities for the local community and ultimately proves how powerful Football can be to generate good feeling within a local Community.
AUFA is charity Founded in 2006 with the aim of promoting lifelong learning, sport, health and wellbeing and be a positive community assets. Being the charitable arm of a Professional Club has many benefits and with motivated staff, a stable infrastructure and a clear plan it enables partnerships with grassroots club to form, sharing best practice.
CJCE is a charity founded in 2013. They provide facilities & programmes to encourage all to participate in sport and physical activity. A grassroots organisation and established charity they share the vision of AUFA and through volunteers and guidance from AUFA they are boosting activity levels for all in Cumnock.
