The Scottish FA East Region are delighted to host the 2010 Coaching Conference at McDiarmid Park, Perth, home of St Johnstone FC, on Sunday 27th June.

The conferece is aimed at coaches and voluneteers working at all levels of football and will include a varierty of practical sesssions and discussions.

The line up this year includes:

Kevin McGreskin - Director of Coaching – Soccer EyeQ
Highly respected as one of the top field vision and game awareness specialists in the country, Kevin is the Director of Coaching at Soccer eyeQ. Kevin holds multiple UEFA A Licence qualifications having been through the course with the English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish football associations.


Over the past 10 years, Kevin has worked with many players of all ages and abilities. His major focus and passion has been in the development of game awareness in young players. Internationally known as an expert in vision and awareness training, Kevin teaches innovative techniques and exercises to improve players' abilities in these essential areas.

Carlton Fairweather – Sunderland Football Club
Carlton is a highly respected coach at Sunderland FC’s Youth Academy. The academy focuses on developing footballers technically, socially and academically with a holistic approach to player development. Central to this ethos is the idea of doing your best and performing things at the correct time – "The Sunderland Academy Way"

Positive Coaching Scotland (PCS)
PCS is a cultural change programme designed to create a positive environment for young people in sport, by teaching them to:
• Appreciate the value of effort and learning;
• Improve personal performance; 
• Foster a competitive, but fair, sporting mentality; 
• Deal positively with mistakes. 
How they do it? By instructing the key influencers in a young person's life (namely parents, teachers, coaches and leaders) how to coach sport 'the PCS' way.
 

The cost for the day is £10 (£5 for Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs)
