The clubs chosen to host the 2018 McDonald’s Community Football Days have been announced, with 10 Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs picked for the grassroots football showcases.

The events at Bayside FC, Musselburgh Windsor, Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle will be the showcase events that will include a football ambassador and McDonald’s inflatable games.

Buckie Thistle, Annan Athletic, Pollok United, Warriors in the Community, Beadalbane and Blackburn United have been confirmed for the Community Football Days between June and September, in which clubs organise open events that encourage existing members and their families to participate along with new members from the local community.

Scottish FA’s Head of Football Development Andy Gould said: “The Community Football Open Days provide an opportunity for our clubs to open their doors to the wider community and inspire new people to get involved in our game.

“These days show the local community what the football club can provide and the benefit that playing football and helping out at a club can offer.

"We hope that as many people as possible can get involved and make these days a fantastic family occasion."

Local residents are encouraged to turn up and enjoy the family fun.
