The Scottish FA and Aberdeen and District Juvenile FA (ADJFA) recently held a developmental 4v4 festival in Westhill, near Aberdeen - and it was a huge success.

The event saw 40 teams from 15 clubs gathering at Lawsondale Pitches to play 4v4 games in a festival format.
Scottish FA North Regional manager Graeme Sutherland said: “This event builds on the six-week 4v4 pilot which we ran from April – June this year. Almost double the number of teams were involved today, which shows the appetite for this format of football.
"Over 60 coaches attended a 4v4 in-service event recently and this will ensure the youngsters involved in the programme will get good quality, appropriate coaching alongside the festival games programme.”
There will now be a six-week winter block of festivals which will run throughout November, December and January at the Aberdeen Sports Village, and we look forward to seeing the players taking part in small sided games in this excellent facility.
A huge thanks must go to Westdyke Boys Club for their assistance in organising the event and for all the clubs listed below who entered teams on the day.
