The Scottish FA has distributed almost £10m to its member clubs this year, almost one-third of the governing body’s entire turnover.

Around £6m was issued to participants in the country’s flagship knockout competition, the William Hill Scottish Cup, including prize money, broadcasting and sponsorship revenues.

Over £2m was delivered at year-end to those involved in the Club Academy Scotland programme, with £1.8m distributed on a criteria basis and an additional £300,000 to  those clubs meeting Measurable Performance Outcomes, which are focused on the development and participation of talented young Scottish players.

In excess of £500,000 was received by members in Club Licensing Payments, with an additional £305,000 distributed via the Performance Awards Scheme, promoting Fair Play and positive behaviours, and a further £160,000 in performance-based payments within the non-professional game.

Alan McRae, Scottish FA President: “The Scottish FA is committed to raising standards at all levels of the game and the level of financial distribution to our member clubs in 2015 demonstrates that commitment."
