Around 60 coaches attended the recent Children's Level 1 Early Touches course at Lornshill Academy in Clackmannanshire.
The course was organised by Scottish FA football development officer for the area Graeme Henderson who was also joined by Willie McNab, Scottish FA football development officer for the Falkirk region.
Graeme said: “Willie and I were very impressed with the enthusiasm on show from the coaches who attended.
“The large numbers today highlight how the game is growing at the children's age groups, with new volunteers becoming involved and new teams being created.
“Encouraging more parents and volunteers to take up coaching roles is a vital part of sustaining and developing growth within grassroots football.
“Hopefully these coaches will now continue to attend Scottish FA coach education courses and attend the Children's Level 2 coaching ‘young footballers course’."
