Over the weekend the South West Regional team welcomed over 80 Coaches and Volunteers to their area Coach Development Days at Hamilton Palace and Palmerston Park, Dumfries.

Head of youth development for the Scottish FA, Neil Mackintosh, was the guest coach for the days and delivered a masterclass session on movement, vsion and decision making.  His focus was on Spanish players like Xavi and Iniesta and how they have developed into the players they are today.

A massive thanks go to Hamilton FC and Queen of the South FC for their support in providing access to their facilities, and the help of their young players who acted as runners on the day.

With another series of Coach Development Days almost complete, coaches within the South West Region can look forward to our final day being held at Somerset Park, Ayr on Sunday 1st August.  Scottish FA director of football development Jim Fleeting, and soccer eyeQ's Kevin McGreskin will be the guests for the day.
