Scottish FA Technical Development Officer Mark McNally provided a group of coaches with an in-service and introduction to the Scottish FA Youth Award. The evening was attended by over 40 coaches from a variety of different clubs involved in the Quality Mark scheme.
The evening was organised by Club Development Manager Danny Bisland who said: "The youth award is the first time many coaches will be formally assessed. This can be very daunting and some clubs have requested an introduction to the course."
Mark McNally said: "This can be the first time many coaches have been asked to shape a team. It's great to have this opportunity to provide a small introduction to the course and allow a coach time to go away and practice."
The Scottish FA are committed to supporting all grassroots coaches and events like this allow people to learn and further develop.
Mike McCrae was one of the coaches who attended. He said: "I really enjoyed the evening and have been keen to take part in the course but never really knew what was involved, this evening has helped and I will be signing up for the next course as this will help me further develop as a coach."
