14 secondary school members of the Paisley and District Schools’ FA recently undertook a level one Scottish FA coaching course at St. Mirren FC, with support from West regional manager, Paul McNeill.
Around 20 local school team coaches also completed sports first aid courses. Such qualifications will help in the care of the young players and also assist schools who are working towards Scottish FA Quality Mark awards.
The Paisley and District Schools’ FA intend to arrange a level two coaching course early in the new year, and a level 1 children’s course for primary teachers is also planned for February 2010.
Any teacher interested in either of the above courses should contact Robert Allan at Linwood High on rallan070@linwoodhigh.renfrewshire.sch.uk
or the Scottish FA West regional office on west@scottishfa.co.uk or 0141 886 7366
