The Dundee Girls Football League, in partnership Active Schools Dundee and Scottish FA East Region, recently held a P4-P6 girls festival yesterday at Soccerworld, Dundee.

With over 140 players from 16 of Dundee's primary schools in attendance and enjoying their football, the day was certainly a huge success for the ever popular Dundee Girls League.

Active Schools Coordinator Gareth Dailly said “I would just like to say a massive well done and thank you to participating teams for providing a really entertaining afternoon. With so many players involved from P4-6, all of whom seemed to be on top form today, it was most pleasing for me and the staff to see a huge number of players participating. For such a young age, the players produced excellent displays and have made noticeable improvements in their game, even since the last festival in December. This is due to the hard work and dedication of the coaches, managers and players involved”

The Scottish FA East Region will be hosting a girl’s festival for 11s teams at Riverside Playing Fields, Dundee on 31st March 2012. Teams wishing to enter can do so by contacting Sam Milne, Scottish FA East Region Club Development Manager, sam.milne@scottishfa.co.uk
